Currently working as an interpreter in Paris, I’ve had the pleasure of working as an interpreter for international and homeland institutions, as well as for start-ups and individuals in need of linguistic services.

Translation

Over the past 10 years, English, Spanish and French translation has been at the core of my career.

Nowadays, our globalized society demands high-quality translations, and we are sadly seeing more and more IT tools providing low-quality material. That is why I think we need more insightful, accurate and reliable translators standing up for this business. I am an advocate of this. My motto: provide accurate translations where my customers are utterly satisfied.

My areas of expertise? IT, marketing, pharmaceutical, medical, finances, architecture, home-decoration… You name it! I’ve logged hundreds of hours of experience translating most of the core industries of today’s business activity. Moreover, I’ve had the pleasure of working with individuals looking for on-demand linguistic services such as resumé translations and medical record translation.

I master the main translation tools such as Trados, as well as the widely used Microsoft Office suite.

Training

Being an English, Spanish and French trainer was the hobby that turned into my passion. As an undergraduate, I started teaching foreign languages to finance college, and by my senior year, I decided to study a master’s in education. I realized translating and interpreting is a fantastic and fascinating world, but teaching fills that human-contact side most linguists lack.

It’s through e-learning that I’ve got the chance of getting to know people from all over the world. Therefore, I’ve discovered many cultures, people, stories… teaching is not only showing one how to speak a language, but it’s also to showcase the culture of the language.

English and Spanish, both my mother tongues and languages of the countries I’ve lived in, are the languages I teach the most. Moreover, having lived in Paris for over more than 7 years now, I also teach French at an entry-level.

Today, I teach online, through online tools such as Skype and Hangouts. I provide and create all the pedagogic material, which I adapt to each of my students. Indeed, I create a personalized learning program for each case. Whether it’s business English, tourism, negotiating or test certification, I will work with my student focusing on his goal and providing all the material and support need to succeed.
